lo all. what should my rates be set for your server? everytime i try to play i get the option of letting the server change my rates or leave. i choose to let the server set my rates but it dont work and then it crashes steam!! wtf is happening. my rates are

rate 25000
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100

what do i need to change them too?

Yep we accept min 10000 20 20 or 25000 80 80

That's a rather low minimum, i'm actually surprised.

I don't know much about rates but wouldn't it be better if the minimum was boosted up to 20000 80 80? That way we wouldn't have such an extreme difference between rates?

Boosting the minimum up to the same as the maximum although sounds like it would make sense actually wouldn't be fair on some people who's computers/connection can't handle it :p

Having a minimum set at around 15000/50/50 is a bit more fair, but you can't please everyone no matter what you do :p

yep phat ant im in cardiff, and er kinda it's very unstable at the mo, im waiting on a new power box the one i have at the moment keeps triping all the time

fluid the rates so low for people like me whos pc/connection can only handle avin shitty rates!
