Top eleven ways to give out your password, and other great security tips.
Well, it seems you are rather unimaginative when it comes to giving away your password - all these 'friends' networks and 'bebo' things - just type in the MSN password you use for everything and they'll send spam to all your contacts! perfect... but here's some more original ways:
1)Public Conveniences
Write down your email address, username and password on the wall. Not very fun, and you can't guarentee anyone will read it.
2) Username = password
oOps! i've done this one before many a time. The good old 'username, email, password' doesn't always follow in that order, and sometimes you find the password you use (1234, password) etc is suddenly your username for some stupid online friends network.
3) Shout it at random people in the street.
4) Tell all your mates about what a great person you are, and how they should choose a secure password from the english pocket 4-page dictionary.
5) Make a website about it. 'password' - the greatest password in the universe, and my personal favourite.
6) Choose an insecure password: insecure passwords are passwords which cannot be found using a dictionary cracker. Ie, to choose an insecure password, all you have to do is choose a word not in the dictionary! if you have one of these, change it immediately to a password which is both in the english dictionary AND common: ie 'password', the most secure, followed by a close second with '1234'
7) DO NOT USE NUMBERS! (unless 1234). These will make your password easier to crack
8. DO NOT USE 'SPECIAL CHARACTERS' - these are reserved for SPECIAL people who want their passwords CRACKED!!
9) don't use a password if possible
10) send your password to all the people in your address book in your personalised spam to all contacts.
11) INSTALL A KEYLOGGER - all you people who worship windows will love these new-fangled things called key loggers. Whilst some people claim these are used by hackers, this is because hackers are skilled programmers and wish to remain secure - they are not 'crackers' - those evil nasty people. A keylogger detects the keys pushed by you and automatically deletes any logs they may have left in anything. THis means that your password remains secure. If possible, install a nice remote access trojan and leave the password as default. Then, broadcast your IP address on usenet in a cracking forum.
