Advance Notice of Downtime.
Times:
Tuesday 26th September 2006 – 9am-5pm
Thursday 28th September – 9am-5pm
Saturday 30th September – 9am-7pm
Owing to you, our valued customers, INX-Gaming and INX-Network Ltd, our parent company, are expanding! We are currently using rackspace from a third party provider, however we have now reached the point where it is feasible for us to upgrade and take rackspace directly with a datacentre.
This means that we are relocating our equipment, and our office, to the new datacentre. This brings several things we need to inform you about. All good news, don't worry!
First, there will be one 3 hour period of downtime at some point during the above periods for each customer. We will be transporting all of our equipment to the new location, and will bring it back online. I know many of you will recall the issues we had within the last two months when our current provider relocated. They had not installed or tested the internet connectivity, which is why we unfortunately had so much downtime. To prevent this occurring again, we have installed equipment and servers already in our new datacentre and are rigorously testing the link. I must stress that if this does not work satisfactorily we will delay our relocation until we are satisfied.
Once the equipment is relocated we will remain on site for several hours during which you may contact us via the usual methods should your service not function after the relocation.
Secondly, our office is relocating within the new datacentre, and as such we will have technicians within walking distance of our equipment! To date we have been relying on contractors, or even the current datacentre's own "Intelligent Hands" technicians. Unfortunately since our current third party provider relocated, the levels of this service have dipped to frankly unacceptable levels, leaving equipment offline for far too long. Our own technicans will be able to walk down the stairs and fix these faults in person. To the best of our knowledge we are the only GSP in Europe with onsite offices! We will also be able to get back onsite within around 15 minutes outside of working hours, and will be once again offering 24x7 emergency telephone support. Further details of this will be released at a later date.
And finally! With the new capacity of our new offices and datacentre, we will be able to once again offer Dedicated Servers (unmanaged as standard, part managed, and fully managed at additional charge), and co-location from 1U/mATX up to full 42U racks.
