hey. some guys were being cnuts on the server saying its alright to kill muslims and stuff. now i have a problem with that, duh no about biatch. here's their steam id's. they say its ok saying that stuff, i thought it would be cool if they would argue their case

technically saying you 'didnt like them because you'd grown up with them' is showing signs of racism and also a broad generalisation.. just because you may have had bad experiences it doesn't mean that all muslims or whichever group it is you're referring to are pricks..try to watch what you say

People need to learn what racism is before they preach about it..

Saying you don't like them isn't racist.. for examply, Katie if I said I didn't like you, thats not me being racist, yeah thats right, I'm black.

I know what its like to be a victim of racism, and so I know what being racist is and isn't.

Wether I care or not about it is out of the question, if I didn't care and they called me a nigger then they should be banned anyway out of principle.

I personally don't like muslims for bombing us, that doesn't make me a racist, I wouldn't like anyone who bombed us, just like I'm sure the middle eastern people aren't loving us and the Americans trampling through their countries.

Doesn't make them racist, saying one is inferior or whatever (which isn't what the people on the server WERE NOT saying) then thats being racist.

And if anyones ever being racist, don't be a single minded retard and get them banned off some random public server which makes absoloutely fuck all difference in the scheme of things, get their IP ("status" in console) and report them to their ISP (with proof). Fuck them over.

Saying you hate muslims because they bomb us, is like me saying I hate black people because they're all criminals. You can tar them all with the same brush if you like, I don't really care.

What we don't want is people expressing their simple minded views on the server. I use the word Nigga all the time in jest with my friends, but I would NEVER call a black person by that name, and I would certainly not use it on the server in case it upset someone.

If someone called you that on the server Prod, I would have a serious problem with it. Half my family are black.

The fact is, you can think what you like about Muslims, we just don't wanna hear it on the server. There could be people playing on there that would take offence.

Ah yeah I wrote that wrong and didn't fully explain myself..

Basically, I meant to make the correlation between why I can't say I don't like people if they do things which hurt me or people I know (eg: Muslims bombing us). Obviously I don't hate all muslims - however I do dislike the extremists - if thats racist them I'm sorry, I'll be the first to apologise, but I'm not going to pretend I don't like people when I have more than enough reason to do so, I think people just calss it as racist because they are of a different race. I just summed it up by saying 'i hate muslims' it wasn't meant in a racist way but I can see how it can be percieved in that way, even though I don't understand why its wrong to say it because I'm obviously not going to like them for what they do..

tbh the server is probably the wrong place to have a discussion about hating/disliking certain religions or group of people.

Other players on the server can misinterpret what you are saying, you guys may have been joking around but to others it can seem extremely racist etc.

Its ok to have opinions and beliefs, no one can change that but at times its best to keep them to yourselves.

The server is suppose to be a fun relaxed environment, bringing hatred and arguments to the game only discourages players from rejoining

We all know that A-levels mean sh1t these days, so your result doesn't mean a damned thing

Whatever the "technical" definition of racism, the common or garden variety definition is generally taken to mean prejudice or discrimination against a group of people based on some common trait.

gays are not a "race" but people are prejudice against them and it's the same sort of thing really - prejudice based on a common trait (ie, them being benders).

What is an extremist anyway, someone who holds an extreme/radical view, or just those who act upon it?

It may not be racist to go around saying you h8 the specific extremists who plan and execute bombings and other general acts of terror, but that's about it.

This is one of those "tricky" areas - and yes, there are rules for one group of ppl and not others - eg, it IS permissible to call someone like Daev a camel humping faggot, but that's meant in the nicest possible way

It is not however permissible to go around saying you m8 muslims, or use the dreaded "N" word in relation to black ppl (ffs, these days I don't even know if it's "black" or "coloured" ppl u are supposed to say - seems to change all the time) or other terms that ppl may find offensive on the server.

Basically, if you want to discuss controversial issues, do so in private and not on public channels on a public server - or specifically, on OUR public server.

If you don't like this, you know what to do

Oh and I didn't realise you were black - I thought matha was the only black geezer we allowed on our server???
