Due to recent changes at warswervers, we can now run a number of different HL mods, not just CS.
eg:
CZ
HL deathmatch
HL rally
Ricochet
Firearms
IO Soccer
Natural Selection

We can also run UT or RTCW if we really want....

This is all fine and dandy, and we can swap them "on demand" if we like, but since this is primarily a CS clan, the server should be CS or CZ by default.

The question is, which one? I know not everyone has CZ, but a lot of us do, and the server has been a CS server for a loooonngg time.
It *might* attract more ppl if it is normally a CZ server.
We can always swap it back to CS every monday nite if ppl wish, since that is the only nite everyone seems to play.

Dunno what nites anyone else plays, but they sure as hell don't see,m to play on OUR server, so perhaps it doesn't matter what we set it to...

The server is on CZ at the moment as an experiment, and coz wedgie wanted to play it last nite

All I play now is CZ unless it's Monday clan night. I would leave it on CZ as most of us have it and it can be swapped back. I dont think Squee plays on it any other time anyway so no loss.

Hopefully it will attract more ppl.

I usually play for an hour here or there most days when I can.

Well, the majority do seem to be in favour of it, so I guess tue-sun it will be a CZ server and monday we can swap back - though the rest of you are "encouraged" to get CZ.
We seem to be getting a lot more ppl on there with CZ too, which is good - nearly full again last nite.....

As I keep telling ppl, the server hasn't been updated to 1.2 yet.
Some of the maps were updated in 1.2 - and as your client is 1.2, the server kicks u when these differ.
I have put a request in to warswervers to sort it out but it ain't happened yet......

ffs - just after I posted that, I check my mail and warswervers say they have updated CZ and installed statsme/adminmod - so soon your rcon privileges will be REVOKED and u can all use adminmod to change maps/kick/bury ppl etc etc.....well I say "all", I mean of course "whoever bribes me the most"

good job squiddly, the server does get used more in the evening we had 22 ppl on last night and 1more phoned me this morning to say he could'nt get on cause we were full.

sooo it seems that cz is the way to go until cs2 of course.
